Roller Coasters
For my Technology this term I have decided to do the tech choice, Roller Coasters. This is because I really enjoy using graphic design programs and thought that this would be the right choice for me.
Throughout this Term i will be creating and exploring roller coasters and how they work. This hopefully means that by the end of the term i can have a website full of information explaining roller coasters and also a few other sites that help explore other elements of a roller coaster.

The Design Process
Good Design
- Make a list of the features of a well designed product.
- It has to perform what it was meant to be able to do.
- Be easy to use.
- Be at a reasonable price
- Be clean to the environment.
- Be aesthetically pleasing and not be an eye-saw.
- Why do you think the following designs were not successful?
- An American doll made in 1952 that came with removable parts – the stomach, heart, and kidneys. - I don't think that this doll would be good because it would not be easy to use and little kids might eat the small parts.
- A vibrating toilet seat. The aim was that the vibrations would prevent constipation. - This would not work because it would not be cheap, it probably wouldn't stop the constipation and would not be in use a lot causing it to be a waste of money.
- A device that enabled people to look inside their own ears. - This would be hard to use and would be a waste of money because you could get someone else to do it for you.
- The contraption which when tucked inside a babies nappy, played the song, “When the Saints go marching in” when the nappy became wet. - This wouldn't be necessary and would come at a big price.
